Hollyoaks spoilers: Horror New Year crash stunt revealed but will someone die?

Hollyoaks is set to be rocked by a terrible crash in the New Year, plunging two families into a deadly situation – and leaving Misbah Maalik with the horrific predicament of choosing which of her children to save from the grasp of death. 
Metro.co.uk were with Hollyoaks cast and crew in Liverpool‘s Queensway Tunnel, which was closed off for the nightshoot which saw the crash sequence come to fruition – and we can promise that fans are in for a jaw dropping treat.

The New Year story will see Tony and Diane Hutchinson – along with Harry Thompson – driving to Diane’s sister’s while the Maalik family comprised of Misbah, Sami, Imran, Yasmine, Farrah and her girlfriend Kim Butterfield are heaidng home from a fun day out.
A turn of events will see the two families collide in the most horrific of ways, leading to an almighty crash that leaves more than one life hanging in the balance.

And as the severity of the situation dawns, Misbah is faced with an impossible choice as two of her offspring are trapped in the crushed car with a lorry speeding towards them. She only has time to save one – and the decision she takes will haunt her massively in a huge new storyline for the family over the months which follow.

 Cast were on location for six nights and when Metro.co.uk left and went to bed at 3am on one of the nights, filming was ongoing. But the results are more than worth the hard work.
