Power cut leaves more than 4,000 properties around Toftwood without electricity

A power cut in the Toftwood area has left more than 4,000 properties without power this evening.

Engineers from UK Power Networks have been investigating the fault, and took more than four hours to restore power to the majority of those affected..
More than 200 people have called the company to report the fault, and more than 4,000 customers have been affected.
UK Power Networks said they are investigating a high voltage overhead electricity line fault which has caused the power cut across four postcodes.
Engineers have been diverting electricity around the faulty part of the network, and the majority of customers have now had power restored.
