Two people arrested at Norwich railway station

Two people were arrested at Norwich railway station following two separate incidents.

One person was arrested for breaching a criminal behaviour order (CBO) and another person was arrested for being concerned in the supply of drugs.

Both arrests were made by British Transport Police (BTP) officers at Norwich Railway Station last night (Thursday, December 5).

BTP East Anglia notified the public about the arrests on social media.

Officers tweeted: "Two arrested at Norwich train station this evening in separate incidents. One for breach or CBO, the other for being concerned in the supply of drugs Its been a busy shift ... now to get the paperwork completed @BTP @greateranglia".

Meanwhile the BTP are also urging people that with the Christmas party season almost upon us, they should ensure all their travel arrangements are in place - and enjoy it responsibly.

11 injured following crash between minibus and car near Thetford

Investigations are continuing after eleven people were injured in a serious crash between a minibus and a car last night. The collision happened on the A134 at Two Mile Bottom between Thetford and Mundford at around 6.40pm. The casualties were taken to Addenbrooke's and West Suffolk hospital. Six of those injured sustained serious injuries. The crash involved a white Renault Minibus and a black BMW. 11 persons were injured and they were taken to Addenbrookes Hospital and West Suffolk Hospital for treatment. There were six persons that sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision. Police are keen to locate the driver of a lorry who may be a witness to the collision. The road was closed while officers carried out enquiries and was reopened just after on 24th November. ‘I was woken up by screaming’: Couple’s shock as fire guts neighbour’s house on New Year’s Eve

A couple from Shipdham have spoken of their shock after a neighbour’s house was gutted by fire in the early hours of New Year’s Eve. Hannah Matthews and her partner Craig Barker were called into action when their neighbour’s house in Bradenham Road caught fire. This is the first picture of a barmaid found murdered in a north London park after she was stabbed and beaten on Christmas Eve. The body of Iuliana Tudos, 22, was found in an outbuilding close to a sports pitch in Finsbury Park on Wednesday afternoon, police said. Murder arrest after man stabbed to death in east London

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is in custody. A murder investigation has been launched after a man in his 20s was stabbed to death in east London. Police were called shortly after 2pm on Thursday to reports of a stabbing in Clarence Mews, Hackney. The man was found seriously injured and died at the scene around half an hour later, despite the best efforts of emergency services. A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is in custody at a north London police station. The victim has not yet been identified and police are working to inform his family.

WHSmith Local has opened its doors to shoppers and is already proving popular with customers in the run up to Christmas. The store, at 36 High Street in the former William Hill betting shop, had been empty for some time but plans were first submitted in July for change of use for the new business. It was immediately welcomed by the majority of townsfolk and approved by the district council. After a slight delay in getting the right signage for the front the store opened and is being run by four members of the same family. Philip and Maria Stow and their sons Chris and James will work full time in the shop, which will be open seven days a week.
