Kate Garraway has broken her silence about her husband Derek Draper's battle with coronavirus.
The 52-year-old television presenter's husband is currently in intensive care fighting for his life after contracting Covid-19.
On today's Good Morning Britain, Ben Shephard shared a heartbreaking message from Kate who is self-isolating at home with her two children.
A teary eyed Ben read out the statement from Kate live on air.
The
emotional message read: "Derek remains in intensive care and is still
very ill. I'm afraid it remains an excruciatingly worrying time.
"The
NHS team who have been working on him have all been extraordinary and I
know that it’s only their professionalism, dedication and bravery that
has kept Derek with us so far.
11 injured following crash between minibus and car near Thetford
Investigations are continuing after eleven people were injured in a serious crash between a minibus and a car last night. The collision happened on the A134 at Two Mile Bottom between Thetford and Mundford at around 6.40pm. The casualties were taken to Addenbrooke's and West Suffolk hospital. Six of those injured sustained serious injuries. The crash involved a white Renault Minibus and a black BMW. 11 persons were injured and they were taken to Addenbrookes Hospital and West Suffolk Hospital for treatment. There were six persons that sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision. Police are keen to locate the driver of a lorry who may be a witness to the collision. The road was closed while officers carried out enquiries and was reopened just after on 24th November.
